Train Like a Film Actor
This isn't a martial arts class. It isn't cosplay. It's the same methodology used on professional film sets: how to make a sword fight look real, dangerous, and cinematic on camera.
Battleblade Productions founder Bertan Berber, fight choreographer, stunt performer and action director, teaches you the fundamentals of cinematic sword work: distance, timing, camera angles, and how to sell a hit for the lens.

The Experience
You start with training sticks and work up to katana. Small groups keep it personal, with hands-on feedback throughout. Classes are professionally filmed, so you can expect to leave with footage of yourself performing cinematic fight choreography.
Each class is built on the same training logic used on professional film sets. You work through the fundamentals: safety, timing, and camera awareness, and leave with a foundation you can keep building on between sessions.
What to Bring
- Training clothes you can move freely in
- Kneepads (optional but recommended)
- Your own training sword if you have one — a bokken or plastic sword is ideal (no live blades). Training weapons are provided.
- Water and something to eat beforehand
