International ranges are built from SAG-AFTRA daily minimums converted to NOK and market rates in the UK, Germany and Scandinavia. They are a starting point for negotiation, not a ceiling. What else is billed

- Costume fittings and jobs under four hours, short recce visits, and rehearsal sessions outside shoot days.
- Travel and accommodation
- Reimbursed or provided by the production. Prep and recce days are billed separately, usually at around half the day rate.
- VAT
- All rates exclude VAT. VAT is added only where it applies.

On smaller productions, single scenes are often quoted per project instead.
Is it expensive to make an action scene?
Not necessarily. The biggest cost driver is unplanned shoot time. A well-planned fight scene with one choreographer can fit an indie budget, and the earlier the planning starts, the cheaper the scene gets.
What does a single fight scene cost?
There is no fixed price, because a fight scene is priced from the days it takes, not the scene itself. A short exchange between two people can be choreographed and shot inside one day. A longer sequence with several performers, weapons or falls needs rehearsal days on top. At Norsk filmforbund's guideline rates, each stunt performer costs 6,500 NOK per shoot day, with rehearsal days at the half-day rate.
What does a stunt coordinator cost?

A coordinator is responsible for safety, team assembly and planning, and is usually needed once a production has several performers or higher-risk action.
